Container Load

Container Load

If you’re looking to transport ocean freight, there are two different kinds of shipment we offer: container load and less than a container load.

Container load shipping is ideal for those looking to transport a large amount of goods due to both its pricing and flexibility. Below, we’ll explain some considerations you should make when determining what ocean shipping package to choose.

Container Load Pricing

When you choose to get a container load, you don’t have to worry about the size or weight of the items you’re shipping. Instead, you’re getting charged a flat fee for the container you’re transporting.

As long as the goods you give us can fit safely into the container, you can rest assured that the price you were quoted fits the price of the job. This is different than a Less than a Container Load (LCL), for which you’re charged for the volume of the goods.

LCLs are worth it if you don’t have enough goods to fill the container.

How Much Can We Load in a Container?

There are several different variables you need to take into account when determining what you can ship in a specific size of container. If you need help, you can let one of our shipping experts know. They’ll be able to help you determine an accurate size estimate.

It helps if your goods are organized into pallets. This way, you can measure the size of these pallets, which in turn tells you how much space you’ll need.

That said, if you end up not having the container size you need to ship your products, we’ll work with you to give you a second container or, depending on your needs, a bigger container.

Container Load Flexibility

Container loads are flexible because you don’t need to share your container with anyone else. This means that post arrival cargo can be transported from door-to-door, door-to-port, port-to-door, or port-to-port, since your container doesn’t need to go to anyone but you.

Let us know when and where you would like to receive your container load. Our shipping experts will then work with you to ensure that we meet the requirements you’re looking for.

Containers can be refrigerated if your cargo is sensitive to temperature. LCL Cargo and full container load (FCL Cargo) options are both available. At the end of the day, we want to help you get your goods shipped in the fashion that is best suited to your needs.
