Liberty Hall Museum in Union, New Jersey - A Unique American Historical Site

The Liberty Hall Museum, also known as the Union County Historical Society Museum and Liberty Hall Museum in Union, New Jersey, is a uniquely American historical site. Formerly known as a home for wealthy Union settlers, it was later designated a county museum and national park. It was built in 17 72 as a house for a group of settlers who settled in what is now New Jersey. Renovated in the late nineteen seventies, the museum is now divided into three major sections: Liberty Hall, the Old State House, the Liberty Family History Center, and the Science and Environmental History Museum. Information can be found here.

In addition to the three sections, there is a large exhibition hall, which serves as the main exhibition and visitor center. It contains interpretive displays and hosts numerous workshops and lectures on different topics such as farming, early America, early New Jersey, gender relations, race relations, religion, labor and politics, education, and history. During the summer, the museum also features a garden which is the largest one in New Jersey. This garden has been designed to replicate the scenic Adirondack scenery that was part of the life of the settlers of New Jersey in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. It also includes a butterfly house and several picnic tables. The Liberty Hall Museum is one of the most visited museums in the entire world. Every year, a large number of tourist visits to the museum to see the original artifacts and enjoy the beautiful gardens and landscapes. Some of the famous attractions of the museum are The Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, the U.S. Congress, the American Eagle Coin Museum, the Ladies' Museum, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Other important places in the area include the Atlantic City Model Railroad, the Monmouth Gardens, and the Monmouth Country Club. The Garden State Park also provides a beautiful location for outdoor concerts, festivals, and events. See here for information about Visiting the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, NJ.

The Liberty Hall Museum also serves as the Beadle Prize Circle home, which is an annual competition for bead craft designers. Each year, teams worldwide send their best work to be judged by some of the most respected bead craft makers in the world. The winning team receives a gold or silver trophy. There are also numerous educational activities and workshops in this museum, which showcases the bead craft industry in Union, County, and New Jersey and educates visitors about the importance of fair trade and environmentalism.
